Access to clean energy

Access to clean energy

We are an African-Caribbean owned and managed company and as such are concerned that external forces drive the development of the Sub-Sharar Africa regions for only financial and access to their natural resources.

Many institutions, organisation, and global companies continue not to recognise the historical exploitation of black people in Africa, diaspora and other regions of the world.

Africans encounter with globalisation has been operational since the fifteen century and was devasting for black people and their social structures and is still clear to see today in the lynching of blacks by white police offices, which are then sanctioned by the state and media.

The point we are trying to make clear at this point is the importance of social structures in the development of complex societies.

Building a Stronger Civil Society

Investing in developing a civil society allows individual and groups to take an active role in society, enabling them to work to common agendas and build a stronger community for themselves and fellow citizens.

Empowering Communities

Local communities must be able to serve those in their neighbourhood and have input into the planning processes in new development. There should also be a straightforward process by which the central government and local Actors can challenge decisions.

Health and Social Care

Investment in public health should be a very high priority to any nation-state after all a sick person cannot turn up for work or expected to work.

Welfare to Work

Local communities should play a key role in delivering employment support to individuals and carers

Promote Employee-owned Enterprises

Encourage the creation of more social-enterprises supported directly by government investment and social investors.

How Can These Opportunities be realise

Social enterprises, charities and voluntary organisation need access to sustainable finance to develop and flourish.

·       Make it easier to run a voluntary or community sector organisation

·       Putting more resources into the sector to underpin its resilience and independence

·       Make it easier to do business with the state and NGOs

And we believe it can be delivered along with inward invest in building the energy and communication infrastructure needed by Sub-Sharar Africa.
